About Pisgah Living

Hi, I'm Lauren.

I’m a storyteller, photographer, and lifelong creative with a deep love for the mountains of Western North Carolina and the people who call them home. Oh, and I happen to be a real estate broker.

After more than 15 years in real estate, I’ve learned that buying or selling a home is rarely just a transaction. It’s usually tied to something bigger — a reinvention, a slower pace, a new chapter, a long-awaited move closer to nature, family, creativity, or peace.

Pisgah Living was born from that understanding.

My "Why"

To me, buying a home here has never just been about square footage or price-per-foot. It’s about the feeling people are chasing when they move to these mountains in the first place. The fog hanging low over the ridgelines after sunrise. The familiar vintage SUVs parked along Broad Street. The way you know the forecast by how many mountain bikes are lined up at The Hub on a Saturday morning.

Pisgah Living by Pisgah Real Estate is rooted in storytelling over salesmanship. Real photos. Real stories. Real people. Not generic “just listed” posts or polished corporate marketing speak. I’d rather share a vision of someone’s next chapter than a list of upgrades and finishes.

And when things inevitably get messy — because real estate can absolutely get messy — I care a whole lot more about showing up for my clients than collecting “top-producer” accolades.

This is mountain life as it actually feels.
And this is why I’ve built my real estate career around that feeling.

Beyond the Transaction

There are many agents who can successfully navigate a real estate transaction. I believe the difference lies in the care, creativity, intentionality, and perspective brought to the experience along the way.

To me, real estate is never just about property. It’s about people, lifestyle, community, and creating alignment between where someone lives and how they want to live.

Intentionality

Thoughtful details matter. From presentation and marketing to communication and strategy, intentionality creates clarity, trust, and a more meaningful client experience.

Connection to Place

Great representation comes from genuine connection to a community — not just market knowledge, but lived experience, curiosity, and deep appreciation for what makes this area special.

Storytelling & Creativity

Every home and every client has a story. I approach real estate through a creative lens that values thoughtful presentation, emotional connection, and marketing that feels authentic rather than formulaic.

People-Centered Guidance

Real estate often intersects with major life transitions. I value honest communication, grounded guidance, and relationships built on trust rather than pressure.
